Stan & Lana

Stan & Lana – Founders & Senior Leaders of Jesus Unltd & GodIsGoodTV Satellite Television Network

Karelia — the land of lakes, pine forests, and deep silence. Its bogs are rich with wild berries like cranberries and cloudberries. Its forests are thick, scattered with lingonberries and blueberries. And it’s there, in Karelia, that the story of Stan and Lana began.

In 1997, they got married, and their church in the city of Kostomuksha sent them to the small village of Voloma to bring the light of the Gospel.

Stan and Lana shared the message of Christ not only in their village, but also in neighboring communities, in a local school, and in a nursing home. They even started a newspaper called The Helping Hand. It was just the beginning — in that small village, God was preparing them for something much greater.

In 2000, the young couple responded to God’s call to go to India. To prepare, they enrolled at Logos Christian University in Saint Petersburg, where they studied Biblical Hebrew and learned the fundamentals of Bible translation. At the same time, they joined the Central Asian Russian Scriptures project, helping translate the Bible for the people of Central Asia.

Later, they moved to England — a land of ancient castles, green hills, and misty mornings — to study at SIL International, a school that trains Bible translators. It wasn’t just an academic course — it was the start of a life-changing adventure that would eventually take them to India, Burma, Nepal, and Kenya.

In England, they learned how to translate the Bible into both written and unwritten languages. The school was like a forge, shaping skilled translators. Stan and Lana not only studied grammar and phonetics but also learned how to convey the Word of God clearly in the heart languages of people who had never heard the name of Jesus.

In 2003, they moved to India — a land where the sun dazzles and the air shimmers above the hot earth. The scent of spices fills every breeze, and ancient temples are tucked among the Himalayan mountains.

Stan and Lana began their ministry in the heart of the Himalayas, partnering with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Their first year was spent working among the Garhwali people. Their villages were tucked high in the mountains, unreachable by car. So Stan and Lana hiked for hours along narrow mountain trails to bring the Gospel to those remote communities.

Later, they moved to Delhi and enrolled at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, a government institute, to study Hindi — a language spoken by over 500 million people. The Hindi script looked like an intricate design at first, with letters flowing like the carvings on ancient temples. But day by day, the letters became familiar, and the words began to make sense.

In 2004, they planted The Jesus Way Church in Delhi and started working with children living in the city’s slums. Families built their homes from tarps and bricks, and children played among dirt and trash, where pigs rooted and stray, sickly dogs wandered.

In 2005, they attended another Bible translation course at The Word for All Linguistic School. There, they deepened their skills and soon began translating the Gospel of Mark into modern Hindi.

In 2008, they opened their first children’s home — a place of refuge for children whose families had faced persecution for their Christian faith in the Indian state of Odisha.

In 2010, Stan graduated from the University of Wales. He completed his thesis and earned a Master of Theology degree in Applied Theology and Pastoral Practice.

In 2012, Stan and Lana officially registered their mission, Jesus Unlimited, in California and continued their active ministry in India.

Then came 2020. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread and borders around the world shut down, Stan and Lana launched a Christian nonprofit satellite channel called God Is Good TV. Today, the channel broadcasts from two satellites — Galaxy 19 and Hotbird 13 — bringing the Good News of Jesus to millions of viewers across the globe.

Stan and Lana now serve as Senior Leaders of Jesus Unltd. Their ministry continues to grow, touching lives and pointing people to Christ. Over the past 28 years, their impact has reached far and wide:

— They’ve founded 8 children’s homes in India and 1 in Nepal, where orphans have found love and family.
— They’ve opened 2 schools for underprivileged children in India, giving kids hope for a better future.
— They’ve organized children’s ministries and held hundreds of outreach events to share Jesus with kids.
— They’ve planted 10 churches in India where people gather for worship, prayer, and Bible study.
— They lead seminars and Bible schools in India, Nepal, Burma, and Kenya, training pastors and leaders.
— They’re working on Bible translations in 4 languages: modern Russian, Asian English, Hindi, and Burmese — so people can read God’s Word in a language they truly understand.
— They launched God Is Good TV, which broadcasts from Galaxy 19 and Hotbird 13, reaching millions around the world.
